Sur cet album de 2005, Sadao China interprète les chansons traditionnelles d'Okinawa, s'accompagnant au sanshin. Yasuko Yoshida (ex-Nenes) fait les choeurs et joue de castagnettes sanba tandis que son fils Sadahito ajoute un sanshin à l'ensemble. (ASDS)

Since the classic female quartet Nenes disbanded, aside from working with the new Nenes he's recorded with Seijin Noborikawa and produced a few young singers. On Utamaai he is joined by Yasuko Yoshida, (ex-Nenes) on backing vocals, sanba (castanets) and his son Sadahito on additional sanshin. An album of mostly traditional tunes, with China's dry vocals, sanshin and ryu-kin (koto). Excellent album of pure Okinawan traditional music."
