"American Epic" est à la base une série de documentaires réalisée par Bernard MacMahon pour relater l'histoire des premiers enregistrements de musique aux Etats-Unis. Les cinq disques du coffret présentent ces artistes de styles divers, du blues à l'old time, du cajun au tex mex. Le livre qui accompagne le tout propose un texte de présentation détaillé en anglais et de nombreuses photos. (ASDS)
