INTUITION

The second LP from obscure jazz-folk singer and graduate of Numero's Ladies From The Canyon compilation, Caroline Peyton. "Before she was voicing Disney films and performing alongside Linda Ronstadt and Andy Gibb in the Pirates of Penzance, Caroline Peyton cut two beautiful jazz-folk LPs for Bloomington, Indiana's BRBQ Records. Both were issued in limited quantities to near-universal shoulder shrugs. Sure, Rolling Stone called Intuiton a "near state of the art album by a pop female vocalist," but that was hardly a ringing endorsement for the ravenous record buying public of 1977. The ten-song album has been expanded to seventeen, including two studio outtakes and five acoustic demos from her collection of cassette masters. The booklet features a dozen candid photos from the period and Edd Hurt's account of Caroline's final days as an outsider folk goddess. (Article paru sur le site Boomkat)
