D'origine pakistanaise, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (1948-97) est un chanteur célèbre de qawwali. Ce triple cd rassemble deux concerts, le premier datant de 1994, à Londres et le second de 1997 (son dernier concert) au Pakistan. Tandis que le premier propose un répertoire de qawwali traditionnel, le second propose des morceaux à l'accompagnement occidental, avec guitare, basse, saxophone...
