Crushing your head against the concrete yet again. The return comes with what seems to be an odd "twin" release of sorts - similar basic song titles, similar overall tone, similar cover, the same title.... yet these consistencies give the project a sort of unified strength - a sound so relatively singular that it couldn't be mistaken for anyone else. The bash, the crush, the pulverization of the listener - this is LP yet again. Yet for all the conformity of presentation on the surface, there's more lurking underneath here. The structures are more refined, the changes more astute. There's the almost playful sound, a groovy ride with warped voices bizarrely repeating single words over and over - a robotic invocation to "dance". When it hits it hits even harder, like a brick to the face. The twists and turns throughout resolve in "Refract", where all manner of unholiness is released on the floor, a noise-drenched decimation of all that is pure. True cleansing. (www.rateyourmusic.com)
