Après près de cinq ans d'absence («Landing on a Hundred »en 2012), l'artiste Cody Chestnutt est de retour avec un troisième album intitulé « My Love Divine Degree ». L'opus enregistré en compagnie de Raphael Saadiq, dans son studio à North Hollywood, contient quatorze titres de Nu-Soul enjoués. La musique se montre rythmée, planante et groovy avec quelques teintes Blues, Ska, Funk, Pop et électro Folk. Quant aux textes inspirés, engagés et positifs, ils abordent le thème de l'amour divin, la nature et notre société. (CL)
