LES VOIX BAROQUES, Alexander WEIMANN
Petit périple dans l'Angleterre du 16ème et 17ème siècle. Constitué pour la majeure partie d'anthems, ce bel enregistrement cultive la délicieuse mélancolie britannique en vigueur à cette époque. Henry Purcell est évidemment la figure-phare de ce disque aux côtés de Matthew Locke, John Blow, William Croft, Thomas Weelkes et quelques autres. Du côté de l'interprétation, je retiens l'excellente diction de l'ensemble Les Voix Baroques et l'implication des chanteurs qui donnent à ce répertoire de musique sacrée un supplément de sentiment. Très recommandable. AG
