Le label Daptone Recods rend hommage à la diva à la voix puissante Sharon Jones décédée en novembre 2016 en publiant son dernier opus studio « Soul Of Woman ». Cet album posthume réalisé en compagnie de ses fidèles Dap-Kings et de Saun & Starr compte onze morceaux de Funk et de Soul orchestrale et rétro. Notre défunte reine nous a laissé des titres sensuels, fougueux et chaleureux enregistrés sur deux ans entre les périodes de traitement comme par exemple « Call On God », un titre soutenu par des choeurs déchirants, l'engagé « Matter Of Time » ou la perle « Girl ! (You Got To Forgive Him) ». (CL)
